Job summary

Five Education Recruitment Limited is seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant for a well-resourced SEN school in Bristol. You will support students aged 4-18 with various needs, helping them access the curriculum and participate in school life.

The role offers 8:30–15:30 Monday to Friday, with opportunities to express preferred age groups and contribute to progress reviews. The successful candidate will have experience with SEND, be patient and flexible, and hold a current DBS or be willing

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people with SEND, including autism, ADHD, and speech/language difficulties.
• Calm, flexible and empathetic approach to supporting teenagers with varied needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small group support based on EHCP targets.
• Adapt learning materials to meet diverse learning styles.
• Support development of communication and independent learning skills.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and SENDCo to implement effective strategies.
• Assist with personal care needs while promoting dignity and independence.
• Supervise students during breaks and lunchtimes to ensure wellbeing and inclusion.
• Record and report on students' progress and concerns for reviews.
