Job summary

Remedy Education are recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school environment in Maidenhead. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with SEN, helping their academic, social and emotional development while working closely with teachers and the wider SEN team.

You will support students with needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and other learning difficulties, assist with behaviour management, and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN.
• Patient, caring and resilient approach.
• Confident supporting students with challenging behaviour.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Good understanding of safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with SEN.
• Support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.
• Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team.
• Help students access the curriculum and develop greater independence.
• Support students with needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and other learning difficulties.
• Assist with behaviour management and promote positive engagement.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with students.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
