Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are seeking a kind, patient and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team as soon as possible, supporting pupils to achieve their potential both academically and socially.

Duties as a SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Work closely with individual pupils or small groups with additional needs, including those with EHCPs.

• Support children with a range of needs such as autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social/emotional needs.

• Assist the class teacher in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment.

• Adapt resources and learning tasks to suit individual needs.

• Provide personal care and supervision as required.

• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.

Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Experience working with children with special educational needs (desirable).

• A nurturing, empathetic and flexible approach to supporting pupils.

• A good understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management as a SEN Teaching Assistant.

• Strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSEs or equivalent).

• A willingness to learn and undertake relevant training (e.g. Team Teach, SEND strategies).

• A team player who is committed to the values and ethos of inclusive education.
