Vision For Education Ltd in Wigan is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children and young adults with Autism and complex needs in a nurturing, inclusive school. This full-time, temporary role starts in November 2026 and offers PAYE pay of £463–£500 per week, dependent on experience and/or qualifications.

You will work with a supportive team in modern facilities, helping pupils grow in confidence and well-being.

• Previous experience supporting children, young people or vulnerable adults.
• Genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEN, including Autism, learning disabilities, sensory impairments or complex needs.
• Excellent communication skills with pupils, staff and families.

Make a difference every day as an SEN Teaching Assistant, supporting children and young adults with Autism and complex needs to learn, grow, and thrive in a nurturing, inclusive school in Wigan.

SEN Teaching Assistant (full-time, temporary)
Wigan
£463 - £500 per week PAYE (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications)
Start date: November 2026

The School and Role

This is a highly rewarding, hands-on role where your dedication and skills will directly impact pupils’ growth, confidence, and well-being. You’ll work alongside a passionate, experienced team in modern, purpose-built facilities based in Wigan, that provide the ideal environment for SEN professionals to grow and make a positive impact to the lives of children with SEND.

This is a term-time only role with strong potential to become permanent following a successful qualifying period, alongside access to ongoing training and professional development. This role is ideal for candidates seeking meaningful SEN experience and long-term opportunities within special education

To be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will:

• Have previous experience supporting children or young people or vulnerable adults
• Have a genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEN, including Autism, learning disabilities, sensory impairments or complex needs
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills with pupils, staff and families
• Show emotional resilience and adaptability, remaining patient and positive in a fast-paced, sometimes challenging environment
• Be reliable, proactive and committed to making a positive impact in a specialist education setting.
