An Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ school in Welshpool is looking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant. This is a highly rewarding role. The school seeks an individual who is encouraging, non-judgmental, patient, easy to talk to, positive, and adaptable. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you must communicate with students in a manner that encourages and supports them, establishing trusted relationships.

This role is ideal for experienced Teaching Assistants, graduates, and aspiring teachers seeking to gain more experience before applying for teacher training.

We are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant who:

  • Has previous experience working with children with additional needs or a strong desire to work with such children.
  • Can follow EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans) or other educational plans tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Has a genuine passion for positively impacting the lives of students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Can create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that fosters growth and development for every child.
  • Possesses patience, empathy, and understanding to support diverse learning requirements.
  • Is proactive and flexible, capable of adapting to various situations and challenges.
