Job summary

Connex Education Partnership in Walthamstow is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a welcoming school setting. The role involves providing 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils build confidence and independence, and working closely with teachers and the wider support team.

The ideal candidate will be patient, enthusiastic and dedicated, with experience with SEN or willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check and provide references.

About the Role / Setting

The school is committed to providing a safe and inclusive learning environment for pupils with additional needs. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to deliver tailored support for pupils with minor SEN and additional learning needs. The role will involve supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping them to build confidence, independence and positive relationships.

• Strong transferable experience and a genuine passion for supporting children will also be considered.
• Confidence supporting pupils both inside and outside of the classroom.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check and provide satisfactory references.
