Job description

Pertemps Education are seeking SEN support staff to work near Thetford, Norfolk. We are looking for teaching assistants and support staff to work full-time with children aged 4-19 with various special needs, including:

  1. Autism (ASD)
  2. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  3. Social Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH)
  4. Speech Language and Communication needs (SLCN)
  5. Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  6. Epilepsy
  7. Dyslexia
  8. Other complex needs

The work is within an independent SEN school with extensive facilities, including forest schools, archery, horticultural learning, animal care, and a state-of-the-art science lab.

We seek staff for full support roles, with working hours from 08:30 to 15:45, including breaks. Lunch is provided. Part-time options are available but must cover full days.

The initial contract is temporary via an agency, but the school prefers to hire staff permanently.

Applicants should have experience working with children with special needs. We also consider those with experience working with adults with learning difficulties or outside classroom settings.

Required documents include proof of Right to Work, proof of address, UK DBS check, professional references from the past 2 years, overseas police checks (if applicable), and completion of a safeguarding questionnaire.
