Job summary

Academics is seeking a committed SEN teaching assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a Southend school. You will provide one-to-one and small-group help, helping pupils access the curriculum and participate in school life.

We value caring, patient, and positive individuals with strong communication skills who can stay calm in challenging situations. Prior SEN experience is welcome, with transferable childcare or mentoring experience also considered.

About You

• We are looking for someone who is caring, patient and enthusiastic about working with children. Previous SEN experience is desirable, but transferable experience in childcare, care work, mentoring or youth work will also be considered.
• You should have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
