• Qualified Teaching Assistant or Relevant SEN Background required.
• Experience with PECS and Makaton training preferred.
• Knowledge in PMLD, SLD, MLD, ASD, and Complex needs is essential.

Compassionate SEN teaching assistant, enhancing educational outcomes for all students

SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Shrewsbury

Duration: Full time, on going

Salary: £95 – £105 per day

The School/role:

We are looking for a full time TA to start with us for a 1:1 child on a long-term supply basis.This supportive school is a happy, thriving school that is proud to be part of our local community.

Key Duties:

• Constant Supervision: Provide vigilant supervision to ensure the safety of the child and others, particularly in managing disruptive behaviour.
• Building Trusting Relationships: Foster a trusting relationship with the student to create a supportive learning environment.
• Sensory Room Assistance: Facilitate the student’s engagement in the sensory room to enhance their learning experience.
• Outdoor Activities: Organize and facilitate opportunities for the student to run around outside each day, promoting physical activity and well-being.

• Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
• PECS and Makaton training/experience

• Full DBS – on the update service
