The Care Department is actively seeking a Children Learning Disability Teaching Assistant to work within an award-winning college located in Southport. The service is a bespoke specialist service for people aged 16-25 with autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex needs. You will assist students throughout their educational journey.

Overview:

• Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
• Location: Southport
• Job Type: Permanent
• Shifts: 8.30am - 3.15pm, Monday to Friday
• Pay: £22,000 per year
• Excellent rates of pay, weekly pay, and no payroll charges
• Variety of work in different social care and healthcare settings

The role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll support education and assist the class teacher with the daily needs of pupils, enabling the implementation of the curriculum and responding to pupils' needs. You will also need to pick up and drop off the child from the residential service to school.

The candidate:

• A desire to create positive outcomes for children with learning disabilities
• Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
• Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
• The right to work in the UK
