Job summary

Aspire People is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant in Peterborough to join a team supporting students across key stages. The position is full-time, 8.30am–3.30pm, with coverage possibilities from daily to long-term placements.

You will assist teachers with planning and delivering lessons, provide targeted support to individuals or small groups, manage classroom behaviour, and supervise pupils during breaks. The role focuses on supporting students with SEN.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications and/or substantial experience.
• Available for a minimum of one day a week.

Are you an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a fulfilling opportunity?

Aspire People are currently recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants. What we can offer can range from a days cover, a weeks cover, a terms cover to long-term cover for the whole academic year.

As a SEN TA, you will be expected to complete typical TA duties working with SEN students.

You will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across all key stages. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting teachers with planning and delivering lessons.
• Providing targeted support to small groups or individual students.
• Managing classroom behaviour, ensuring a positive learning environment.
• Supervising students during break times and lunch.
• Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
