Teaching Personnel is looking for a caring, proactive and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a specialist educational environment in Hillingdon.

This is an opportunity for someone who understands that progress looks different for every child. Whether you're helping a pupil communicate a need, build confidence, manage a challenge or take an independent step, your contribution will matter.

Your role

You’ll work closely with the class teacher and wider support team to help pupils access learning, develop essential life skills and feel safe, understood and included.

The pupils may have autism and a range of communication, sensory, social and emotional needs. The right person will be patient, observant and ready to adapt their approach to each individual.

Your responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group learning support where required.
  • Help pupils engage with lessons through visual resources, structured activities and clear communication.
  • Encourage independence, confidence and positive social interaction.

  • Maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom.
What makes you a great fit?

  • A patient, calm and compassionate approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Confidence adapting to individual needs and changing situations.
  • A genuine commitment to helping children achieve their potential.
  • A willingness to complete relevant training and safeguarding checks.

Previous school experience is valuable, but the right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are equally important.

What Teaching Personnel offers
  • Competitive daily pay of £100-£130, depending on experience.
  • Potential for a consistent, long-term placement.
  • Guidance and support from a dedicated recruitment consultant.
  • Access to relevant training and professional development opportunities.
