Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Hillingdon

Position start date: ASAP

Contract type: Full-time, Temp to Perm

Salary: £85 - £100 per day

Role Overview

We are currently recruiting for a lovely SEN primary school in the Hillingdon area who are looking for someone to join their amazing team. In this role as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be required to support children with special needs on various levels of the autistic spectrum.

Key Skills

• You must be comfortable working 1:1 within an SEN role or with children in small groups
• Demonstrate active listening skills and strong verbal communication skills
• Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare
• Handle complex and sensitive issues with empathy and understanding
• Be aware of safeguarding procedures to keep children safe at all times

Requirements:

• Experience working with young people or SEN in any capacity
• You must have an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to process a new one
• Either live in Hillingdon or within a commutable distance
• Demonstrate fluent English, both verbal and written
