SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School

Location: Lewisham
Salary: Competitive Weekly PAYE Pay

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? Do you have experience working with children and want to make a real impact in an inclusive primary school environment?

We are seeking a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of special educational needs within a welcoming and supportive primary school.

Your day could include:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
• Assisting children with Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH and other additional needs
• Supporting learning activities both inside and outside the classroom
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills
• Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement support strategies
• Adapting resources and activities to meet individual learning needs

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children in a school, nursery, youth work or care setting
• Has experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs, or a strong interest in SEN
• Is patient, resilient and nurturing
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
