CER Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in central Leeds. In this key role, you will provide vital support to students with a range of special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential in a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, both in the classroom and on a one-to-one basis
2. Assist with learning activities, ensuring students can fully engage with the curriculum
3. Support the teacher in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment
4. Help implement education care plans and monitor student progress
5. Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all students
6. Contribute to the wider school community and support extracurricular activities
7. You may be required to support: ASD, ADHD, PMLD, SEMH

Requirements:

1. Experience working with children, preferably in an SEN setting
2. Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships with students
3. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
4. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
5. A commitment to supporting students with additional needs in their learning journey
