Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Hounslow from September 2026. You will support pupils with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs and SEMH, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored learning support.

The role includes one-to-one and small group interventions, encouraging independence, confidence and engagement while helping create a safe, inclusive classroom.

Qualifications

• Experience working with pupils with SEN preferred.
• Patient, empathetic and adaptable.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Location: Hounslow

Start Date: September 2026

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

Pay: £95 to £130 per day (depending on experience)

SEN Teaching Assistant Required

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Hounslow from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children with additional needs.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored learning support.
• Provide one-to-one and small group interventions.
• Encourage pupil independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred but not essential).
• Is patient, empathetic, and adaptable.
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Is committed to supporting every child to reach their full potential.
• Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
