SEN Teaching Assistant Position at Prospero Teaching

Prospero Teaching is seeking passionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join GOOD/OUTSTANDING Ofsted-rated secondary schools near Watford. The position is available for a September 2024 start and is a long-term role. The minimum pay rate is GBP 90 per day.

Having experience with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) is highly desirable. Suitable candidates will be pre-screened based on their CV and may be invited for a paid trial day or week.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work with students who have special educational needs and disabilities, supporting them in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the class teacher with lesson planning and preparation
  2. Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN
  3. Monitor and track student progress
  4. Collaborate with other support staff members
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children
  • Experience with SEMH is highly desired
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
