Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Greenwich secondary school from September 2026. The role involves supporting pupils with SEN and SEMH, providing practical and emotional assistance to help them engage with learning.

You’ll work one-to-one and in small groups, build trust with students, and collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to create a calm, inclusive classroom environment throughout the academic year.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children, particularly within a school or educational setting.
  • Interest in SEN, SEMH, behaviour or pastoral support.
  • Patient, understanding and emotionally resilient.
  • Calm and consistent when faced with challenging situations.
  • Natural ability to build rapport with children.
  • Confident working one-to-one and in small groups.
  • Able to work effectively alongside teachers and other professionals.
  • Enthusiastic about helping children overcome obstacles and succeed.

Contract: Full Time, Long term
Start Date: September 2026
Pay: £100 - £117 per day, depending on experience
Contract Length: September 2026 - July 2027

Are you passionate about helping children overcome barriers and reach their potential?

An exciting opportunity is available for a caring and resilient SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Secondary school in Greenwich from September 2026.

This role would suit someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships with pupils and understands that every child needs a different approach. You'll provide practical and emotional support to pupils who may experience additional needs, social and emotional difficulties or challenges with behaviour and engagement.

The position will run for the full academic year, giving you the opportunity to develop valuable experience supporting children with a range of SEN and SEMH needs.
