Job summary

The Supply Register, in partnership with Hornchurch Academy Trust, is seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across its schools in Havering. The role involves one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils access the curriculum and build confidence.

Candidates with SEN experience and relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply. Flexible, part-time and long-term opportunities are available with CPD and development supported by the MSP framework.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Good understanding of SEND strategies and approaches.
  • Qualifications such as CACHE, NVQ Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching & Learning or equivalent are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEN.
  • Support pupils with learning, communication and behavioural needs.
  • Assist teachers with classroom activities and adapted learning resources.

Job description

Location: Hornchurch Academy Trust

Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term / Flexible

Start Date: ASAP

The Supply Register are working in partnership with Hornchurch Academy Trust to recruit experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across their schools.

This SEN Teaching Assistant role is ideal for candidates with previous experience supporting children with special educational needs who are passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.

You will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to provide one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils access the curriculum and develop their confidence, independence and social skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEN

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting
