SEN Teaching Assistant role

A community led SEN secondary school are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with primary aged students. These students all have a diagnosis of ASD with complex learning difficulties.

The SEN Teaching Assistant Job
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work with primary aged students with complex needs and ASD. You will provide one-on-one support, helping students engage with their learning and develop independence, literacy and mathematics skills. If you have patience, creativity, and a desire to make a real impact in the lives of these pupils, then this might be the job for you!

* Pupils from Bromley and across surrounding areas who attend this school are offered a broad and balanced curriculum, that is tailored around an extensive knowledge of their learning difficulties and tailored to them.
* Support and training offered every week to further develop your knowledge and skills as an SEN teaching assistant for children with varied needs.
* You will be working with skilled Teachers and SEN Teaching Assistant's in a classroom environment

The SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

* Give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement
* Support with planning, preparation and resourcing for lessons
* Promote, support and facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities
* Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the school's policy and procedures
* Organise and manage teaching space and resources to help maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment

The SEN Teaching Assistant Applicant

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant applicant will be have the following qualities:

* Will have experience working with students with with various SEN needs
