Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a supportive SEND School in Leicestershire on a long-term basis. You will support pupils in classroom learning, provide one-to-one and small group support, and assist teachers with lessons and resources.

Ideal candidates have experience with SEND/SEMH and strong literacy/numeracy skills. The role offers flexible days, APSCo-compliant registration, and potential progression through Milk Education’s CPD offerings.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEND/SEMH is desirable.
• Education/Childcare qualifications are desirable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills are required.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare is expected.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils across the classroom with their learning

Requirements or Skills:

• Previous experience working with SEND/SEMH children is desirable
• School or education experience is advantageous
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Education, Childcare or Supporting Teaching and Learning is desirable

• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
