A welcoming and high-achieving primary academy in Enfield is looking for a confident SEN Teaching Assistant to join their school to support a child with complex needs on a 1 to 1 basis.
The Role
In this role, you will be supporting a pupil in year 1 with Special Educational Needs. The child has autism and will need support with their behaviour as well as academic activities in the classroom. The child can display challenging behaviour and regularly runs out of class. You must be fit and able to support the child when they run out of class. You will need to be confident to de-escalate situations and remove the child in order to calm down situations.
The school is well-resourced to support children with SEN, and you will work closely with experienced staff and have access to specialist areas to support the child.
