For KS2 through KS4, this school is seeking a full-time teaching assistant experienced in supporting students with additional needs within the classroom. You will work with the class teacher to ensure students receive the necessary support to reach their potential, promote independence, and encourage social inclusion. The role involves organizing and facilitating a stimulating learning environment, collaborating with a welcoming department that values teamwork and co-planning to ensure best practices across classrooms.
Ideal candidates will have experience supporting students with additional needs, confidence in teaching the curriculum, and the ability to plan and prepare resources ahead of time. Familiarity with current curricula and support strategies for emotional and behavioral management are essential. Candidates should be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and be willing to undergo necessary background checks, including an enhanced Child Workforce DBS check.
This is a temporary position with the potential for permanence in the future. All pay rates include statutory holiday pay.
