SEN Teaching Assistant - Telford

Aspire People are currently recruiting passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to work across schools in Telford.

We have a range of opportunities available for candidates with experience supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, across different age groups and settings.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant who wants to make a real difference to pupils' learning, development and confidence.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you may be supporting pupils with:

• Autism and communication needs


• Complex learning needs


• SEMH and behavioural needs


• ADHD and other additional needs


• Speech and language difficulties


• Physical or sensory needs


• 1:1 or small-group learning support

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support


• Supporting pupils with learning and development


• Helping to implement individual support strategies


• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement


• Adapting activities to meet individual needs


• Supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom


• Working closely with teachers and other school staff


• Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for candidates with:

• Strong SEN experience within a school or educational setting


• A patient, caring and nurturing approach


• Confidence supporting pupils with a range of additional needs


• Good behaviour management skills


• Excellent communication and teamwork skills


• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people


• The ability to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations

Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential where you have strong, relevant SEN experience.
