SEN Teaching Assistant (PDA Specialism) - Croydon

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Croydon, supporting children in Year 1 and Year 2 with Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to children with PDA in a classroom setting
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning strategies
• Create a calm, structured, and supportive environment to help children manage their anxieties
• Utilize creative and flexible approaches to engage and motivate pupils
• Assist with social, emotional, and behavioral development
  
  

Requirements

• Experience working with children with PDA, autism, or other SEN needs
• Patient, understanding, and adaptable approach to learning support
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Details

• Location: Croydon
• Start Date: Immediate
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (no flexibility)
• Salary: £89.00 - £99.00 per day, based on experience
