Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant in Chesterfield to support pupils with SEND in a welcoming primary school setting. The role is long-term, full-time (term time only) with 32.5 hours per week, starting ASAP and continuing through the academic year for the right candidate.

You will work with class teachers to provide targeted learning support, help pupils develop confidence and independence, and adapt resources to meet individual needs while promoting inclusive

Qualifications

• Experience working in a classroom environment.
• At least 3 months' experience working with young people.
• Calm, patient and supportive approach when working with pupils with additional needs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
• Proof of right to work in the UK.
• A current DBS on update service or willingness to apply for a new enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND in the classroom and during wider school activities.
• Work with class teachers to deliver targeted learning support.
• Encourage pupils' confidence, independence and positive engagement.
• Assist with adapting resources and activities to meet individual needs.

We are seeking SEND Teaching Assistants for a long-term, full and part-time roles in Chesterfield, supporting pupils in a welcoming primary school setting.
