SEN Teaching Assistant – Chepstow Primary School

We are currently seeking a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join our enthusiastic team and support pupils with additional learning needs.

About The Role

You’ll be joining a large, inclusive primary school where SEN provision is at the heart of what we do. Supporting pupils aged 4–11 with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, and social-emotional challenges, you'll work 1:1 and in small groups to provide tailored support that helps every child thrive.

In our busy, caring school community, you'll help to create a positive, nurturing classroom environment, working closely with class teachers, support staff, and specialists. Every day brings fresh rewards – and real impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with additional needs
• Support positive behaviour strategies and promote a calm, inclusive atmosphere
• Encourage pupil independence while providing care and support when needed
• Help plan and deliver creative and therapeutic learning activities
• Communicate effectively with pupils, staff, and families to ensure consistent support
• Make a lasting difference in the lives of children who need it most
  
  

Who We’re Looking For

• Experience in education, support work or care (or a real willingness to learn)
• A calm, patient, and caring nature with a strong sense of empathy
• A proactive team player who can also work independently
• Confidence working in a busy, energetic primary school setting
• A driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred but not essential
