Opus Teach is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a local primary school in the Bungay area. The role is temporary with a September start and an October end, supporting a SEN unit of 12 children.

You will join a friendly school environment and work 8.45 - 15.15, Monday to Friday; part-time considered. A DBS update and references are required or in progress, with a real-time system and supportive account managers offered.

Qualifications

• Interest in working with children and passion for education.
• Previous teaching or classroom experience preferred.
• Enhanced DBS required or in process.
• Professional references from previous employment.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in a SEN unit with 12 children.
• Work alongside other adults in the classroom.

Opus Teach is a supply agency based in Ipswich, which is wholly owned by Suffolk County Council. We are currently recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a local primary school. We are looking for a reliable and professional SEN Teaching Assistant who is ready to make a real difference in supporting pupils. You will be working alongside other adults in a SEN unit with 12 children.

This is a temporary position.

Start date: 3rd September 2026
End date: 23rd October
Preferred working hours: 8.45 - 15.15, Monday-Friday. Although part time can be considered.

You will need:

• A keen interest in working with children and a passion for the education industry
• Successful previous teaching or classroom experience - Advantageous but not essential
• An up-to-date enhanced DBS (if you do not have one but are still interested, please get in touch)
• Suitable professional references from previous employment
