Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

The Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide individualized learning and care to pupils with additional needs. You will help create a nurturing and structured environment where every child can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with SEN
  2. Support the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans
  3. Assist with learning activities tailored to pupils' needs
  4. Promote positive behavior, emotional regulation, and engagement in lessons
  5. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and external agencies
  6. Support students within learning and/or residential environments to promote their overall development and provide high standards of care, including toileting, washing, bathing, and mealtime assistance
  7. Foster an inclusive, safe, and respectful classroom atmosphere
Mandatory Required Documents:
  • Experience working with children with SEND (in school or care settings) – highly desirable
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in UK SENTA role
  • Five years of work references
  • Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service
  • Moving and Handling Practical Training, etc.

Work Locations: Manchester, Keighley, Bradford, Bingley, & Kent.
