SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School
Location: Bognor Regis, West Sussex
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time / Term-time only
Salary: £13.75/£14.00.
Are you a patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our caring and inclusive primary school in Bognor Regis this September.
You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide targeted support to pupils with a range of special educational needs. This may involve one-to-one work, small group support, and helping to create a calm, structured environment where every child can thrive.
Supporting pupils with a variety of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social/emotional challenges
Adapting learning activities and materials to suit individual needs
Promoting independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
Assisting with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
A caring and resilient approach to supporting children with SEN
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Previous experience in an SEN or TA role is highly desirable
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, SEN training) are an advantage
A supportive and experienced staff team
Ongoing professional development and SEN-specific training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
