Your Role:

  • Support children on a 1:1 or small group basis, focusing on their Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
  • Provide both academic and emotional support, helping children to achieve their full potential.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to ensure that learning strategies are tailored to meet the individual needs of the children.
  • Build trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Caring and Patient: We need someone who is naturally empathetic and has the ability to stay calm and focused under pressure.
  • Experience with Children: Whether it’s through previous work, volunteering, or life experience, we want you to have some experience working with children in any capacity.
  • Qualifications: A Grade C in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) is essential.
  • DBS Check: You must have a Child-Only DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
  • Transferrable Skills: If you’ve worked in roles where you’ve developed skills like communication, teamwork, or problem-solving, these could be a perfect fit for this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
