About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and additional needs within a specialist provision in Bath. In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with pupils across different Key Stages, ensuring they can access education and training in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Assist students with tasks set by the teacher, helping them build confidence and independence.
  • Use communication methods such as PECS, Makaton, BSL, or other specialist tools to aid learning.
  • Foster positive interactions, promote self-reliance, and celebrate every small achievement.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children with SEN, ASD, MLD, SpLD, or other learning barriers.
  • A proactive and resilient individual who thrives in a dynamic classroom setting.
  • A background in SEN Teaching Assistant roles, Teaching Assistance, Support Work, or SEN settings (formal qualifications are a bonus).
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for empowering young learners through education and training.
