Make a Difference as a 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant in Amersham!

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? Do you thrive when helping pupils overcome challenges and grow in confidence? If so, Supply Desk is looking for dedicated individuals like YOU to work across a range of inclusive and supportive schools in the Amersham area.

We are currently recruiting for 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistants to support pupils with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Location: Schools across Amersham, Buckinghamshire

Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £33,075 – £50,471 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Full-Time, temp to perm

Your Role:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to pupils with a range of SEN across Early Years, Primary and Secondary settings.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships that help students feel safe and motivated.
  • Support students with their learning, behaviour, and emotional regulation, using individualised strategies.
  • Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure consistent and effective support.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN is highly desirable.
  • A patient, caring, and resilient approach to support learning and development.
  • Ability to adapt to different school environments and pupil needs.
