Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is recruiting an SEN Teacher for a specialist SEND school in Selly Oak. The role is long-term with an immediate start and ECTs are welcome to apply.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, adapt to pupil needs, manage behaviour, and work closely with support staff to maintain a consistent approach to learning. The school serves pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs across mixed ages in a structured setting, offering personalised support and CPD

Qualifications

• QTS required; ECTs welcome to apply.
• Experience teaching children or young people with SEND.

The school provides a structured and supportive learning environment where pupils receive personalised support based on their individual learning, communication and behavioural needs.

The school is looking to appoint an SEN Teacher on a long-term basis with an immediate start, with ECTs welcome to apply. The successful SEN Teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons, adapt teaching to meet individual needs, manage behaviour effectively and work closely with support staff to provide a consistent approach to learning.

The successful SEN Teacher will have:

• QTS, with ECTs welcome to apply
• Experience teaching children or young people with SEND
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs
• Confidence teaching pupils across different ages
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
