Keys Group is seeking a dedicated SEND teacher for Embleton View School in Bishop Auckland. You will plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons for students with complex needs, focusing on building confidence and unlocking potential.

The role involves delivering tailored learning routes, supporting individual pupils, and promoting safety and positive behaviour within a therapeutic education setting. QTS/QTLS and DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

• Committed to supporting students with SEND.
• At least two years’ experience working in a SEND environment or similar provision.
• QTS/QTLS is a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and planning lessons to support a wide range of learning styles.
• Providing professional learning and development for pupils through personalised learning routes.
• Helping and supporting individual pupils as required and encouraging them to research topics themselves.
• Prepare teaching materials, instruct and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials to prevent injuries and damage.
