Job summary

Reed Recruitment is seeking an experienced SEN Teacher for the Primary Phase at a brand-new specialist school opening in Barnsley this September. The role focuses on pupils with ASD and Communication & Interaction needs, delivering differentiated lessons and supporting personalised learning.

You will work with Teaching Assistants, therapists and families to develop EHCP targets, create an inclusive classroom, and help pupils build confidence, social and independent skills while maintaining high

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for teachers who:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have experience teaching pupils with SEN, particularly ASD and Communication & Interaction needs.
• Have a strong understanding of personalised learning approaches and adaptive teaching strategies.
• Are patient, resilient, and committed to achieving the best outcomes for every child.
• Can build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
• Have experience within an SEN school or specialist provision (desirable but not essential).
