Salary: Inner London MPS + SEN Allowance
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2025

A leading specialist school in Haringey is currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join its dedicated team from September 2025. The role offers a rewarding opportunity to positively impact the lives of children and young people on the autism spectrum.

SEN Teacher applicants should be experienced in inclusive education and passionate about supporting autistic pupils. A background in delivering primary-style teaching within a special or mainstream setting will be beneficial.

Key responsibilities include:

The Ideal Candidate – SEN Teacher
The successful applicant will be a reflective and resilient teacher with a genuine passion for working with autistic learners and a commitment to inclusive, high-quality education. They will demonstrate strong classroom practice, creativity, and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience of teaching within a primary or special school setting.
• A proven ability to plan and deliver differentiated, engaging lessons that meet the varied needs of learners with autism and complex communication needs.
• A solid understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, with practical experience of contributing to EHCPs, conducting assessments, and adapting learning plans accordingly.
• Strong communication skills and the emotional intelligence to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team and with parents/carers.
• Experience of leading or managing support staff to ensure effective collaboration and pupil support in the classroom.
• A creative, flexible approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure in a dynamic school environment.
• A commitment to their own professional development and the desire to contribute to the wider school community.
