Role: SEN Teacher - Maternity Cover

Location: Salisbury, Wiltshire

Contract: Temporary - full time (part time hours may be considered)

Start: April 2025

Salary: Teacher Pay Scale + SEN Allowance

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established special school in Salisbury that provides outstanding education for children and young people aged 4 - 19 with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Complex Needs.

The role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons tailored to the needs of learners with PMLD, SLD and complex needs
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student progress and independence
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and support staff to provide a holistic educational experience
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers and external agencies to support students’ development
  • Contribute to the school’s wider SEND community and embrace innovative teaching approaches

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with children and young people with SEND, particularly PMLD, SLD or complex needs
  • A creative and flexible approach to teaching, adapting to individual learning needs
  • Strong communication skills and the abilities to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
