This welcoming and well-resourced school caters to pupils with complex needs, including Autism (ASC), Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), and SEMH. They offer a tailored and nurturing environment where staff are supported and students thrive through a holistic and child-centred approach.
The School:Supports primary and secondary-aged pupils with EHCPs
Excellent leadership and specialist support staff (e.g. therapists, TAs, behaviour mentors)
Modern classrooms and access to therapeutic resources
Strong safeguarding and CPD culture
Friendly, collaborative staff team that values positivity and progress
Teach a small class of pupils with a range of SEN (including ASC, MLD, SEMH)
Develop personalised lesson plans with EHCP outcomes in mind
Deliver functional skills, core subjects, or a thematic curriculum depending on need
Work closely with Teaching Assistants and therapists to maximise student engagement and development
Foster a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment
Qualified Teacher (QTS/QTLS or overseas equivalent with UK experience)
Previous experience working in a special school or with SEND students
Confident with behaviour management and using de-escalation strategies
Flexible, nurturing, and resilient approach
Immediate availability and enhanced DBS (or willing to apply)
