Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching within an SEN/SEND school or specialist setting, or significant experience working with pupils with additional needs.
• Ability to differentiate teaching for a range of abilities and needs.
• Patient, nurturing and resilient approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across the Primary curriculum.
• Differentiate learning to meet a range of abilities.
• Create a positive, nurturing and structured classroom environment.
• Support pupils' academic, social, emotional and communication development.
• Implement individual learning plans and work towards EHCP outcomes.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress.
• Collaborate with support staff and other professionals.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents/carers and colleagues.
• Support pupils to develop independence, confidence and life skills.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain high expectations.
