Job summary

Selwyn Hall School in Cambridge is seeking a passionate teacher to join a new SEN setting for ages 7-18. You will plan, deliver and assess a broad curriculum tailored to a diverse pupil group with SEMH needs, ensuring inclusive practice.

You will work closely with colleagues and parents, maintain high behavioural standards and create a safe, engaging learning environment. A Qualified Teacher Status and experience in primary teaching are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Experience in primary school teaching is essential.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum is required.
• Ability to adapt teaching to meet pupils' needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and present lessons that cater for the whole ability range within the class.
• Monitor and assess pupils' progress, providing regular feedback to pupils and parents.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to promote engagement and learning.
• Create and maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment for all pupils.
• Maintain classroom discipline in line with our Behaviour Policy.
