Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. in St Helens is seeking a resilient SEN Teacher to join a specialist provision supporting around seven pupils with complex SEN and SEMH needs.

You will deliver tailored lessons, manage challenging behaviours with calm, positive strategies, and build trusting relationships while maintaining clear boundaries and routines.

This is a full-time, long-term position with ongoing CPD and opportunities to develop your SEN expertise across the North-West.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS and eligible to teach in the UK.
• Experience with pupils with SEN, SEMH and complex behaviours.
• Ability to adapt lessons for mixed ages and abilities.
• Confident managing challenging behaviour with positive strategies.
• Build trusting relationships and establish routines.
• Commitment to supporting pupils' academic progress and emotional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lessons in a specialist provision.
• Support small groups of pupils with complex needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing learning environment.
• Use positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques.
• Monitor and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
