Job summary

OFG Education is seeking a SEND Teacher at Bower Lodge School in Dibden, Southampton. This permanent, term-time role is 22.5 hours per week, Monday to Wednesday, 8:30am–4:30pm, with November 2026 start.

You will support students with autism and complex learning needs through personalised teaching, collaboration with the wider team and safeguarding best practice. UK applicants only; no sponsorship available.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• GCSEs in English, Maths and Science required.
• Delivers creative, engaging and adaptable teaching.
• Builds positive, trusting relationships with young people and colleagues.
• Works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintains high expectations while recognising every student’s individual journey.
• Experience with students with SEND is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, personalised lessons that meet the diverse needs of students.
• Create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment where students can succeed.
• Adapt teaching approaches to support individual learning styles, needs and outcomes.
• Build strong relationships that develop confidence, resilience and independence.
• Track progress and use assessment to inform next steps and celebrate achievement.
• Work collaboratively with families, therapists and support staff to provide holistic support.
• Contribute to curriculum development and the ongoing growth of the school.
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and positive outcomes for every student.
