Job description

Position: Full-Time SEN Teacher
Location: Croydon, London
Start Date: ASAP or September 2024
Salary: Competitive, based on experience (MPS/UPS + SEN allowance)

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join a supportive and dynamic special educational needs school in Croydon. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with diverse learning needs, including autism (ASD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual student needs.
  • Work with small classes or 1:1, ensuring all pupils make progress.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents to support holistic development.
  • Implement EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans) and track pupil progress.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs welcome).
  • Experience working with SEN pupils (ASD, PMLD, SEMH, or SLD preferred).
  • Strong understanding of SEND strategies and adaptive teaching methods.
  • Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
