What we’re looking for:

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher who is:

• Passionate about teaching and committed to nurturing a love of learning
• Creative and practical, with the ability to design engaging and structured lessons
• Organised and adaptable, able to tailor teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
• Experienced in managing complex behaviours, using innovative strategies to promote engagement
• A team player, ready to contribute to a multi-disciplinary approach to student success

Key responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver a high-quality, ambitious curriculum that supports students’ individual learning needs and Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes.
• Create engaging and differentiated lesson plans that promote independent living skills, personal resilience, and academic progress.
• Act as a personal tutor to a small group of students, fostering confidence, independence, and lifelong learning.
• Work closely with a skilled multi-disciplinary team, including therapists, care professionals, and educational specialists, to support students holistically.
• Support the college’s mission to continually improve and innovate within specialist education.

Candidates with experience in delivering or coordinating Post-16 PSHE are highly desirable, but we welcome applications from all qualified teachers with a passion for SEN education.
