Job summary

Targeted Provision Ltd. is seeking SEND Tutors and Teachers in the UK to deliver Maths, English, or Science tutoring for disengaged and vulnerable learners. Roles include in-person, online, and hybrid opportunities with flexible hours to fit your schedule.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of teaching experience, QTS/QTLS, and safeguarding knowledge. You will work with schools and local authorities to support learners with SEND and SEMH needs.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or PMLD in a trauma-informed setting.
  • Familiarity with teaching English, Maths, or Science in a SEND context.
  • QTS or QTLS is required and safeguarding knowledge is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-person, online or hybrid tutoring to children and young people with SEND/SEMH needs.
  • Plan lessons, adapt approaches trauma-informed, and monitor progress with regular feedback.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and schools to support learners and safeguarding requirements.

SEND Tutor and Teacher role requirements:
  • Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
  • Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
  • Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
  • Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
  • Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment
The SEND Tutor and Teacher role and responsibilities:
  • Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
  • Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
  • Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
