Job summary

Targeted Provision Ltd is hiring SEND Tutors and Teachers in the Gloucester area to support young people with SEND and SEMH needs. Roles include maths, English or science tuition, delivered in person, hybrid, or online, on a flexible, self-employed basis.

We offer competitive pay (£28-£35/hr), flexible hours, CPD mentoring, a supportive SEND team, referrals, and a purpose-driven environment.

You should have 2+ years teaching experience, QTS or QTLS, enhanced DBS, and right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way.
• Familiarity teaching Maths, English, and/or Science.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) required, Enhanced DBS advisable.

Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
• Support pupils and students referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress.

SEND Tutor and Teacher role requirements:

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor and Teacher role and responsibilities:

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
