Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Weymouth
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS) (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate/September 2025
Contract Type: Permanent/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a motivated and inspiring SEN Teacher to join a supportive school in Weymouth. If you are passionate about providing tailored support to students with special educational needs and want to make a real impact, this is the role for you! In this role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the individual learning needs of students. You will play a key role in creating an inclusive and supportive environment where students can thrive academically and socially.

Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:

  • Plan and deliver lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEN (Special Educational Needs).
  • Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning requirements.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, parents, and SENCOs to provide comprehensive support to students.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning.
  • Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs, preferably in a classroom setting.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to teaching.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years, with no unexplained gaps.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
