Do you have the expertise and empathy to support pupils with special educational needs to thrive both academically and personally?

GSL Education are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a supportive and well-regarded SEN provision in Ringwood. We are looking for a full-time SEN Teacher to join the team from September, offering a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

About The Role:

This role involves teaching pupils with a variety of needs, including Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). You will plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning styles, fostering an inclusive, respectful, and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver high-quality, adapted lessons to meet diverse SEN needs.
  • Foster a safe, structured, and engaging classroom where all pupils feel supported.
  • Implement and track progress against EHCP outcomes and personalised learning plans.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider school team, including SENCO and TAs.
  • Contribute to reviews, assessments, and reports on student progress.
  • Promote social, emotional, and academic development in every learner.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Previous experience teaching students with SEN in a specialist or mainstream setting.
  • Ability to use creative and multisensory teaching methods to enhance engagement.
  • Knowledge of a range of SEN conditions including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and SLCN.
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
  • Experience with specialist resources and assistive learning technologies is desirable.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A passion for inclusive education and supporting young learners with complex needs.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
