About the Role:

GSL Education are currently seeking to appoint a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to undertake a position in schools across Compton. You will play a key role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs, ensuring they have access to a high-quality, personalised education that promotes their academic, emotional, and social development. Responsibilities of the SEN Teacher Role:

  • Deliver differentiated and engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEN.
  • Implement strategies and interventions to support learning, communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals to develop and implement EHCPs and support plans.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment that promotes resilience and confidence.

Requirements for the SEN Teacher Role:

  • Hold QTS/PGCE or an equivalent UK teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, PMLD).
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting learners with additional needs.

To work with GSL Education as a SEN Teacher, you should:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
